6. 내용 :
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and graphene as representative carbon allotropes have been drawing much attention and opened up the potential perspectives to electronic devices, efficient heat transfer mediums, and nanometeric mechanical structures since both of them have a long electron mean free path (CNTs: ~500 nm in axis direction; Graphene: ~100 nm in plane direction at room temperature), high carrier mobility (CNTs: ~104 cm2/Vs; Graphene: ~105 cm2/Vs at room temperature), excellent mechanical tensile strength (CNTs: ~200 GPa; Graphene: ~130 GPa) and even much higher thermal conductivities (CNTs: ~3500 W/mK; Graphene: 4800-5300 W/mK) than any other heat conductors. Recently, the author has paid attention to the synthesis of CNT or graphene membrane as a nanofludic platform to investigate the synergistic effects of those membrane on the electrochemical reactions.
