On August 8th, 2022, an MOU signing ceremony was held to renew the existing research exchange agreement with the Institute of Industrial Science (IIS) at the University of Tokyo. The university signed an academic exchange agreement with the University of Tokyo in 1990, also signed MOUs for student exchange support and strategic partnership in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Professor Bum-joon Kim of the University of Tokyo visited Seoul National University in person for the signing ceremony.
