On May 13, 2025, the 1st SME-SNU Technology Exchange Conference was successfully held at the Grand Lecture Hall of the Education Cooperation Building on the SNU Siheung Campus. The event was organized to promote technological collaboration between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Seoul National University (SNU), aiming to foster mutual growth through industry-academia cooperation.
The conference drew significant attention, with over 100 participants including SNU faculty members, researchers, and representatives from various SMEs. Attendees had the opportunity to share SNU’s latest research achievements and technologies, while freely discussing the on-site challenges in SMEs. In particular, discussions focused on concrete avenues for collaboration in areas such as technology matching, joint research, and talent exchange. A networking session followed the main program, paving the way for sustainable future exchanges.
The event was hosted by the Institute of Advanced Machines and Design at SNU and the Siheung City Association of Entrepreneurs, both of which expressed their commitment to creating a collaborative model where academia and industry grow together through regular technology exchange conferences.
