In the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject (Mechanical Field: Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering), the university achieved a remarkable rise of 27 places from the previous year, securing the 21st position—its highest ranking since 2018 (18th place). This also marks the highest ranking among domestic universities, making it the No.1 institution in Korea.
This achievement is attributed to a continued focus on strengthening research capabilities and expanding global collaboration. In particular, the publication of world-class research papers and participation in international joint research projects were highly regarded in the evaluation.
