CEO Ji-Hoon Park of SAMBO A&T Donates 100 Million KRW to the Department of Mechanical Engineering

Ji-Hoon Park (B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, 2003–2010), CEO of Korea’s leading automotive parts manufacturer Sambo A&T, has donated 100 million KRW to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University to support the training of future engineers and the advancement of education.

In recognition of his contribution, SNU held an appreciation ceremony on December 27, 2024, at Gwanak Campus, attended by key figures including President Hong-Lim Ryu, CEO Ji-Hoon Park, his spouse Soo-Kyung Lee (B.S. in Physical Education, 2003–2008), Vice Chairman Ki-Hyun Kim of the SNU Development Foundation, College of Engineering Dean Young-Oh Kim, and Mechanical Engineering Department Chair Ho-Young Kim.

Founded in 1996, SAMBO A&T specializes in manufacturing automotive parts such as door handles, key sets, and fuel doors, supplying major domestic and international automakers.

CEO Park stated, “Seoul National University’s College of Engineering is the top institution for training engineers in Korea, and its graduates play a crucial role in the country’s industrial development. I hope this donation will help nurture engineering talents who will lead the future of Korea.”

President Yoo expressed gratitude, stating, “This donation will significantly enhance engineering education and research. We deeply appreciate SAMBO A&T’s valuable support in fostering talent and advancing technology.”
