The Seoul National University College of Engineering (Dean, KunWoo Lee) announced on the 25th that he held a commemorative event for the opening of the Haidong Library in the lobby of the building 301 Seoul National University on Thursday.
Five Hae Dong library and seminar rooms were opened with the support of Kim Jung Sik, chairman of HaeDong Science Foundation.
The opening ceremony was attended by President Kim Jung Sik and Vice Chancellor Park Chan Wook of Seoul National University, Dean Kun Woo Lee and undergraduates from Seoul National University.
In his congratulatory speech, President Kim said, "Compared to the days when I studied with only the passion that I wanted to study only in the absence of classrooms, textbooks, and laboratories to study after the Korean War, I am now in a very good environment. "We have provided various supports for our juniors in the meantime, but I think that the most meaningful donation is that we have created a library where we can study as much as we like."
The opening ceremony was attended by President Kim Jung Sik and Vice Chancellor Park Chan Wook of Seoul National University, Dean Kun Woo Lee and undergraduates from Seoul National University.

On the other hand, Chairman Kim Jung Sik of Haedong Science & Culture Foundation entered Electronic Engineering Dept. of Seoul National University in 1948 and experienced the war of Korea during his school days. After graduating in 1956, Daeduck Electronics was established and laid the groundwork for the development of Korea's electronics industry.
