Ph.D. Student Jae Man Park of Professor Kyoungdougn Min’s SNU Automotive Lab has claimed the Excellent Paper Award in the 2013 KSNRE Fall Conference held in the Jeju Island Grand Hotel from the 4^th to 5^th of November 2013 with the paper titled “Durability Research of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane fuel cell depending on the pore size gradient structure of the gas diffusion layer”<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The above paper was commended on the fact that it showed the pore size gradient structure of the gas diffusion layer designed in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells not only allows appropriate water management to improve the performance of fuel cells in various operating conditions but also improves the stiffness of the gas diffusion layer allowing an improvement in the durability of the cell related to the contraction and expansion of the interior of the cell due to tempera and humidity.
