[MUST READ] 2019 2nd Semester Undergraduate Curriculum Changes

Below are changes in undergraduate curriculum starting from 2019 2nd Semester. We strongly urge all enrolled students to read the following and check their graduation requirements.
 


1.    Enrolling in Engineering Mathematics


Students who entered Mechanical Engineering in 2019 and after must only enroll in Engineering Mathematics 1 offered by Mechanical Engineering during regular semesters. NOT Engineering Mathematics 1(including regular semesters, summer/winter semesters, course retakes) offered by Faculty of Liberal Education or any other colleges.


     Students entered before 2019: should enroll in Engineering Mathematics 1, Engineering Mathematics 2 offered by Mechanical Engineering during regular semesters.




2. College of Engineering Social / Creativity courses


Students who entered Mechanical Engineering in 2019 and after must take 3 credits in Creativity area (or from Worlds of Knowledge ‘Culture and Art’ area) apart from ‘400.018 Creative Engineering Design.’ (‘400.018 Creative Engineering Design’ is a required course.)


 


Refer to graduation requirements for entrance year 2019 students.
 


3. Enrolling in Mechanical Engineering Lab 1, 2



According to curriculum changes in undergraduate courses, the required courses for students who entered in 2018 and before M2794.001500 Mechanical Engineering Lab 1(2), M2794.001600 Mechanical Engineering Lab 2(2)—will be offered until 2020 2nd Semester. Students who entered in 2018 and before must take the course until 2020 2nd Semester.


Those who do not take the course until 2020 2nd Semester will have to take newly designated substitute courses and apply for individual substitution. Please make sure to enroll in accordance with graduation credit requirements.

Students who entered in 2013 and before who have not yet enrolled in Design, Manufacturing Process and Laboratory MUST enroll in Digital Fabrication and Manufacturing in Product Development 2 (Prof. Jang Gil Kim) offered by College of Engineering.


This course may not be offered every year by College of Engineering as an Elective Subject for Major. Please take note and make sure to fulfill all the graduation requirements.


 


Students who entered in 2014 and after are not required to take Design, Manufacturing Process and Laboratory.
