Professor Maenghyo Cho from Dept. of Mechanical Engineering at SNU College of Engineering received KSAS Academia Award at the Korean Society for Aeronautical & Space Sciences Fall Conference General Assembly, held on November 27, 2018. He was acknowledged for his pioneering role in the research of multi-scale mechanics in structural mechanics. <?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

 Prof. Cho was also selected as one of the 10 Basic Science Researchers of the Year, receiving the ‘Science and ICT Ministerial Commendation in Exemplary Persons in Basic Research’ on December 5. The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Science and ICT headquarters in Gwacheon. He was recognized for his pioneering role in photoreactive multiscale mechanics and planning, greatly advancing the level of research in Korea.
