He has also been a member of the editorial board of the world's most prestigious statistical journals such as the Annals of Statistics and the Journal of the American Statistical Association and the co-editor of the International Journal of Statistics and Data Analysis.

-
Professor Yoon Young Kim has achieved outstanding research achievements in mechanics-based design and optimization. He has developed an automatic design methodology that optimally satisfies various design requirements that conflict with the mechanical design that has been mainly trial and error based on the mechanical principles. He has developed a design methodology for the mechanics and transducers that require high level of niche techniques. It was applied for the first time in the world. Also, he is the co-chairman of the Asia Society for Optimal Design and the vice-chairman of the World Optimal Design Society in recognition of his innovative research achievements.

- Professor Nam-chon Paek is a professor at the Department of Agricultural and Forestry. He has been studying the regulation of flowering time, the development of chloroplast, chloroplast biosynthesis and degradation regulation, and the function of genes involved in poor environmental stress and aging of the rice plant.

In particular, he researches in identifying several genes that regulate plants' resistance to sudden drought caused by climate change. Also, he has published a number of papers in the International Excellent Plant Science Journal.

- Professor Kim, Jung-Hee has contributed to the introduction of the art history method of iconographic hermeneutics by linking the Western and Korean arts in post modern times to society and made a new technique method of Korean art history.
