Doctorate course student Jieun Song of Professor Sung Jin Song’s research team awarded the excellent paper award at the 2016 KSFM fall conference held in Busan from 29^th June to 1^st July with the research titled “Analytic Model Of Fluid Excitation Used In The Shroud Of Centrifugal Compressors”.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The above research was significant in that it predicted the excitation force through modeling of unnatural and irregular flow which induces dynamic instability in centrifugal compressors, and identified the hydrodynamic mechanism of the said excitation force.
