Ian Foutain started working at National Instruments after graduating from the University of Colorado. He started in the Engineering Leadership Program (ELP)/Applications Engineering and held that position for one and a half years. Upon successful completion of the ELP he moved to field sales engineer in southern Colorado. He worked with several large US companies including Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Atmel, Intel, Echostar and Hewlett Packard. After working as a field engineer for three and a half years he became a business development manager and moved to National Instruments headquarters in Austin, Texas. He has been working as a business development manager for two years and have primarily focused on National Instruments LabVIEW Real-Time, LabVIEW FPGA and simulation technologies. Recently he has focused his efforts on hardware in the loop (HIL) applications and continue to work to find ways in which National Instruments can better serve the HIL market.
