5. 내 용 :

Air travel continues to experience the fastest growth of all modes of transport. Although the energy intensity of the air transport system continues to decline, aviation fuel use and total emissions have steadily risen. This trend, which represents a conflict between industry growth and environmental impact, has motivated the aircraft manufacturing and airline industries, the scientific community, and governmental bodies to consider what methods of emissions reduction are acceptable. This seminar analyzes the historical and future trends in aircraft performance, cost and emissions. A system model for assessing aviation’s global emissions and evaluating various technology and policy scenarios is introduced. This seminar will also discuss some policy applications and future research topics that are important for aircraft manufacturing and airline management in light of aviation’s impact on the environment.
