The Ludwieg Tube at the California Institute Technology in Pasadena, CA is a Mach 2.3 supersonic facility. The facility was finished in March 2001. It has several unique features, principal of which is the boundary layer suction system. An overview of the design and construction of the facility will be discussed. A summary of the experiments that have been conducted in the facility will be presented. These include verification and calibration of the flow, and drag measurements on blunted cones.
