1. 제 목 : SOME CONTRIBUTIONS TO AEROTHERMODYNAMICS OF TRANSPORT TO

AND FROM SPACE THROUGH PLANETARY ATMOSPHERES

2. 연 사 : Hans G. Hornung / GALCIT, Caltech

3. 일 시 : 2003년 3월 25일 (화) 14:00 - 14:40

4. 장 소 : 서울대 신공학관(301동) 1512호 세미나실

5. 내 용 :

The main problems of transport through planetary atmospheres are related to heating. In the case of the earth's atmosphere, this is particularly serious during reentry. A brief presentation of the main difficulty, that of withstanding the enormous heating rates, is used to motivate some of the highlights of the experimental research work that has been done in hypervelocity flow at Caltech over the last 13 years. Some of this work has led to the discovery of important new effects.
