As a member of the Parallel Computing Department of the HLRS, Dr. Edgar Gabriel accomplished several national and international projects, like GRIDSTART, G-WAAT, METODIS and UNICOREPlus. As the head of Parallel and Distributed Systems, he is coordinating the Grid-computing activities and is a key researcher in the development of the communication library, PACX-MPI. In the seminar, he will introduce the DAMIEN project and present several CFD-applications in the Grid.
