1. 제 목 : ROAD TESTS OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE
2. 연 사 : Professor Yoram Zvirin
Faculty of Mechanical engineering
Technion, Israel Institute of Technology
Haifa, Israel
3. 일 시 : 2001년 7월 19일 (목) 16:00 – 17:00
4. 장 소 : 301동 1512호
5. 내 용 : The project described in the presentation was aimed at evaluating
road performance of an electric van powered by zinc-air batteries
under typical Israeli traffic conditions. The tests included driving the
vehicle at constant speeds and in an urban driving cycle at various
hours during the day, and with different driving styles.
The experiments also included evaluation of the EV dynamic
performance at various stages of battery depth of discharge. General
observations of the EV performance characteristics, such as behavior
in heavy traffic, hill climbing, etc., have also been made. It was
observed that while driving at constant speed in the range of 50 – 90
km/h, the EV’s energy consumption varies from 0.28 to 0.42 kWh/km
respectively. This means that the diesel fuel consumption equivalent
of this large van (maximal allowed weight of 4.5 ton) is 3 – 4.5
l/100km, better than typical fuel economy of small conventional
passenger cars. The results of the experiments at urban driving
demonstrate the importance of driving style to achieve minimal energy
consumption and as a result –maximal vehicle range.
