The aim of this work is to design for manufacturing and assembly.
The meaning of "Design for manufacturing" is designing for the minimization of manufacturing costs and times while maintaining the required quality of the product. Designers influence on the costs and the quality of the manufacturing of components and the assembly. Design for manufacturing requires overall layout design, form design of components, selection of materials and of semi-finished materials, use of standard and bought-out components and documentation.
