The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University hosted a STAR Lecture on September 12 at the New Engineering Building, inviting Professor Junmin Wang, Fletcher Stuckey Pratt Chair at the University of Texas at Austin, under the topic "Human-centric Intelligence for Safe, Trusted, and Efficient Ground Mobility."

 

Professor Wang is a renowned scholar who has published over 400 papers in various academic fields such as control, modeling, optimization, diagnostics, and artificial intelligence. In this lecture, he introduced how AI technologies, combining the physical characteristics of vehicle systems with human behavior prediction, can enhance safety, efficiency, and user trust.

 

Students were able to learn about various cases where advanced technologies are applied, gaining both academic knowledge and understanding of real-world applications, while also sparking new ideas for future research directions.
