Professor Seongjin Song of our department has been selected as a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). ASME, the world's leading engineering academic organization with 70,000 members, selects Fellows for researchers who have made excellent academic achievements and actively engaged in academic activities in the field of mechanical engineering.

Professor Seong-Jin Song won ASME's best paper award, the Melville Medal, in 2003, and served as Asia's first director and chairman of the ASME International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI) and assistant editor of the ASME Journal of Turbomachinery. Currently, he serves as an International Advisory Board Member of the Gas Turbine Society of Japan (GTSJ) and Senior Vice President of the Korean Society of Fluid Machinery.
