The 2023 Hanbaek Scholarship Award Ceremony was held

The scholarship award ceremony for the Hanbaek Scholarship, a scholarship from the Seoul National University Development Fund, was held April 4<sup>th</sup> at Seoul National University's 1<sup>st</sup> Engineering Center.
Hong-Taek Han, Professor Emeritus of UCLA, who was the donor, participatedline, Ho-Won Chang, Vice Dean of Student Affairs at the College of Engineering, Sung-Hoon Ahn, Dean of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Han-Ho Song, and 8 scholarship students attended site.
Professor Han Hong-taek gave words of support and encouragement to the scholarship students, emphasizing the heart of learning and giving. Other congratulatory remarks by Vice Dean Ho-Won Chang, Dean Seong-Hoon Ahn, introduction of donors, and thanksgiving from Min-Seung Hwang followed.
Professor Han Hong-taek, an alumnus of Seoul National University's mechanical engineering department, and Mrs. Baek Hoon, an alumnus of Seoul National University's art school, signed a total of 1 million dollars (1.3 billion wons) for the Hanbaek Scholarship and Every year, $100,000 is awarded to students who have shown excellent grades and a deep enthusiasm for their studies in the College of Engineering at Seoul National University for 10 years. A total of 14 scholarship students were selected this year for the Hanbaek Scholarship, which started last year and celebrates its second round this year, including six from the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Professor Han Hong-taek is an alumnus of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University, and served as the Director of KIST and Professor at WCU in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
