Appointment of Professor Min Soo Kim as Distinguished Professor at LG Electronics

LG Electronics has begun strengthening industry-university cooperation by appointing a professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University as a distinguished professor.

On the 7th (Tuesday), LG Electronics H&A Business Headquarters held an agreement ceremony to appoint Professor Min Soo Kim of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University as the 『Distinguished Professor of LG Electronics』 at the College of Engineering at Seoul National University. About 17 people attended the signing ceremony, including LG Electronics Vice President Segi Oh, Seoul National University Vice President Haecheon Choi, chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sung-Hoon Ahn, and BK Education Research Director, Professor Min Soo Kim who was appointed as a Distinguished Professor.

Appointed as a distinguished professor, Professor Kim has been working closely with LG Electronics since 1999, and has been working closely with industry-university cooperation. He is regarded as a professor with excellent insight in the field of R&D.

Professor Kim's term is up to three years, and the two organizations, led by Professor Kim, plan to promote ▲ technology exchange and industry-academic joint research ▲ strengthen LG Electronics' R&D capabilities through seminars and webinars ▲ establish a close network between Seoul National University and LG Electronics researchers.

Vice President Segi Oh of LG Electronics thanked Professor Min Soo Kim for more than 20 years of conducting industry-academic programs and fostering excellent talents, contributing greatly to the growth and development of the H&A business.
