Professor Yeon June Kang takes office as the president of the Korea Society for Noise and Vibration Engineering

Professor Yeon June Kang of our department took office as the 21st chairperson of the Korean Society of Noise and Vibration Engineering (KSNVE) as of January 1, 2023.
Professor Yeon June graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in mechanical design, obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in the United States, and was appointed as a professor of our undergraduate program in 1997.
Since then, he has served as an advisory professor for research and development of Hyundai-Kia Motors, head of the Next Generation Automotive Research Center at Seoul National University, and vice chairperson of the Asia-Pacific of I-INCE, an international noise vibration association.
The Korea Noise Vibration Engineering Association was established in 1990 with the aim of contributing to the development and dissemination of noise vibration studies and technologies and promoting science and technology, and consists of 5,000 members in various fields such as machinery, architecture, aviation, and shipbuilding.
Through industry-academia cooperative research, policy advice, technology review, lectures, seminars, and academic conferences, it is leading the strengthening of ties between industry and academia, also carrying out publishing tasks such as academic journals and noise vibration manuals.
