Professor Kyungdoug Min, elected as the 2023 president of the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers

Professor Kyungdoug Min was approved as the 36th president at the 2022 regular meeting of the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers held at Shinhwa World in Jeju November 17<sup>th</sup> (Thursday).
Professor Kyungdoug Min graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University and obtained a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
He has been active as a member of the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers since 1997 and has contributed greatly to the development of the society by serving as Director of External Cooperation, Vice President of External Cooperation and General Affairs, and Vice President of Power Train Division. In addition, he was awarded the Presidential Award in 2020 for his contribution to the development of technology in the automobile industry, and the Korea Automotive Engineering Association's Society Development Contribution Award in 2021.
Established in 1978, the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers currently has 40,360 individual members and 720 corporations, including 5 automakers, research institutes, libraries, etc. He publishes about 250 papers in the automotive field annually through the SCIE-registered IJAT and SCOPUS-registered Korean paper collections. In addition, it contributes to the development of automotive engineering and industry in Korea, from attracting and hosting international academic conferences, automobile technology exhibitions, automobile-related technology education, and automobile standardization to college students' self-automotive competitions.
