Professor Minsoo Kim of our department received a commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy at the 2022 Machinery Day ceremony.

The '2022 Machinery Day' commemorative event sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and jointly hosted by six organizations including the Federation of Korean Machinery and Technology Societies and the Korea Machinery Industry Promotion Association was held at the El Tower in Seoul November 2^nd. About 160 people attended the event, including First Vice Minister of Industry Young-Jin Jang, and machinery industry-related officials. Machinery Day, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, is a place where industry, academia, and research institutes gather to evaluate the achievements and tasks of the mechanical industry, reward contributors, and select the top 10 mechanical technologies of the year. In a congratulatory speech, Vice Minister Jang Young-jin praised the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy for contributing to the development of the machinery industry, encouraging the machinery industry to achieve $50 billion in export performance despite difficult conditions such as rising energy prices.
