Researchers and companies from the Seoul National University Dept. of Mechanical Engineering’s Innovative Design & Integrated Manufacturing Lab (Director: Prof. Sung-Hoon Ahn) received Engineering Innovation Awards Silver Prize, Bronze Prize, CDE Competition Awards Bronze Prize, and Participation Prize at the CDE DX Awards 2020 February 24^th.

CDE DX Awards 2020, funded by the Ministry of Science and ICT, is hosted by the Korea Society for Computational Design and Engineering every year. It awards creative ideas and achievements of universities, researchers, and companies that contribute to digital transformation.

Among the 59 teams, in the CDE Competition Awards (Universities/Research Institutes category) section, Dr. Hyungjung Kim received the Bronze Prize for ‘Deep learning-based app for detecting spaghetti-shape errors in FDM processes (KEM Studio for FDM).’ M.S. student Guyeop Jung received the Participation Prize for ‘Vaccine Carrier and Monitoring System with 3D Printing Manufacturing.’ In the Engineering Innovation Awards (Private sector category) section, Donggwangsau Inc. received the Silver Prize and Hojeon Ltd. Received the Bronze Prize, both of whom are working with the Innovative Design & Integrated Manufacturing Lab in industry-academia collaborative research.
