Several teams from SNU Dept. of Mechanical Engineering Laboratory for System Health & Risk Management received prizes at Factory Hack Korea 2021. Team Jinwook Lee/Jonghyun Choi (MapoKid) won Grand Prize (1^st place), and Team Sungjong Kim/Hyeongmin Kim/Chaehyun Suh (Coolpiece) and Team Dowan Kim/In Chan Lee/Hyeonchan Lee (Hyeonchantayo) both received Participation Prizes.

Factory Hack Korea is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology. It is a hackathon event for solving problems in the field using industrial data. This competition required participants to build a model for predicting the performance of the product at the design stage of an oil cooler, and solve a design optimization problem.
