The 2019 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award Ceremony was held on February 26^th at 11AM in Room 116, Building 301 at the Office of the Department Chair. Department Chair Prof. Min Soo Kim congratulated the awardees with certificates and prizes.

From Mechanical Engineering, six awardees were selected this year as follows:
- Dr. Jungho Ahn (2014, Nano/Bio, Advisor: Prof. Noo Li Jeon)
- Dr. Sangyul Park (2013, Dynamic and Control, Advisor: Prof. Dongjun Lee)
- Dr. Wang Xinlin (2015, Design and Manufacturing, Advisor: Prof. Sung-Hoon Ahn)
- Dr. Young-Joo Kim (2013, Mechanics, Advisor: Prof. Do-Nyun Kim)
- Dr. Jaeyoung Cho (2014, Thermal engineering, Advisor: Prof. Han Ho Song)
- Dr. Sehyeong Oh (2014, Fluid engineering, Advisor: Prof. Haecheon Choi)

The Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award is conferred to PhD degree recipients or would-be recipients of the year. Awardees are selected according to a comprehensive assessment of their published or confirmed papers in SCI(E) journals, reviews of individual papers, Impact Factor, Eigenfactor Score, paper citation counts, past awards, and reviews in their respective fields.
