Post-doctoral researcher Dr. Heonjun Yoon from Dept. of Mechanical Engineering’s Laboratory for System Health & Risk Management (Director: Prof. Byeng Dong Youn) received Best Dissertation Award in CAE and Applied Physics at 2018 Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers (KSME) Spring Conference. The event was held at The Ocean Resort in Yeosu from April 26 (Thu) to 28 (Sat).

Titled “Modeling and Analysis of Piezoelectric Vibration Energy Harvesting Devices under Operating and Manufacturing Uncertainties,” his doctoral dissertation was recognized for providing a mathematical analysis of the influences of variability in material property and geometric tolerance and abnormal, irregular vibrations on output power.
