Kiyean Kim, a Ph.D candidate under the laboratory of Prof. Yoon Young Kim, made a poster presentation of "Transduction Efficiency Boosting by a Passive Resonator in Magnetostrictive Patch Transducer" and won the 1st award in student poster competition in QNDE 2017 conference held in July 17~20.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

This presentation introduced a structure which can be attached on a transducer to improve the transduction efficiency, and proved that the power output from the transducer was increased. This research has its significance by proposing a novel method to improve the transduction efficiency of a transducer.
