SNU Engineering Professor Frank Chong Woo Park (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the international robot journal ‘Transactions on Robotics’. Professor Park will, for the next 5 years, judge and evaluate robot engineering papers contributing to the journal.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Transactions on Robotics which deals with robot engineering on a main basis is published bimonthly by the world’s largest society in the electronics, electrical, computer, telecommunications, and other fields, the IEEE. Of the 700 journals submitted, only 18.5% are accepted and it can be said that it is one of the most influential journals in the robot sector.

Professor park has received his Masters in electrical engineering in MIT, his Doctorate in Applied Mathematics from Harvard, and has been working as a SNU professor since 1995. He has received numerous awards such as the Sin Yang Academy Awards, 2007~2008년 IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Distinguished Lecturer, been appointed as Fellow of the IEE and is recognized as a globally leading individual in the field of robot engineering.
