SNU revealed last 22^nd that Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Professor Sung Hoon Ahn received an invitation to be the editor-in-chief of the international green energy production journal ‘IJPEM-GT’.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

This journal is one where the KSPE publishes in collaboration with the German publishing company Springer. It was listen in the international journal data base, SCIE, of the American firm – “Thomson Reuters Corporation” – in January, after and unusually short judging process.

SNU mentioned that launch and issuing of an international journal by a national committee is an opportunity in improve Korea’s international academic influence.

Professor Ahn said “IJPEN-GT is providing important information about the latest research results related to saving energy and the green manufacturing sector, an issue of late. Korea will begin to contribute to leading the world’s green energy production”.

Professor Ahn graduates from the university of Michigan in US, and has been working in SNU since 2003, after receiving his doctorate in aerospace engineering from Stanford. He has won numerous awards including the KSME Baekahm Journal Award, KSPE academy award and the SNU Sin Yang Engineering Academy award.
