Masters Student Duho Kim Claims the 2013 KSME Excellent Paper Award
Masters student Duho Kim of Professor Maenghyo Cho’s Smart Structures and Design Lab has claimed the Excellent Paper Award under the CAE and Applied Mechanics Category in the 2014 KSME Spring Conference held in the Seogwipo KAL Hotel with the research submitted to the same conference in the previous year titled “Nickel bond strength comparison research of the lithium ion battery anode material LiNi1-xMxO2(M=ion replacement) through first principal calculations” last 2nd of May 2014.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
The above journal contribution to the improvement of battery performance through the analysis of bond strength of oxygen and other transition metals used as replacement heterogeneous elements of anode materials in lithium ion batteries through first principal calculations. It also presented theoretical analysis methodologies for doped anodes materials.
