Dr. Dae Bong Jung of Professor Kyoungdoug Min’s SNU Automotive Lab has claimed the 2014 KSME Excellent Dissertation Award with the dissertation titled “Fuel Efficiently Improvement Research on Large Series Hybrid Vehicles Using Waste Heat Recovery Device” in the 2014 Energy and Power Engineering division Spring Conference hosted by KSME held in the Choongnam Korea Power Learning Institute on the 30^th of May 2014. The research presented optimal design methodologies for waste heat recovery systems (From exhaust gas energy) to use in the vehicle’s movement and the optimal control methodologies for the car’s power systems, and was commended for the increase in efficiency of the car’s movement system and other energy systems.
