The first awarding of the Prof. Kahp Yang Suh Award which honors the SNU Mechanical and Aerospace engineering Professor Kahp Yang Suh occurred in the 2014 International Symposium on Green Manufacturing and Applications (ISGMA).<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The Organizing Committee of the international conference ISGMA hosted by KSPE established the Prof. Kahp Yang Suh Award in honor of Professor Kahp Yang Suh who passed away from an unfortunate accident in 2013. The first presentation of this award happed in ISGMA 2014 Conference held in Paradise Hotel, Busan.

The awardee was Professor Hoon Eui Jeong from the Nuclear Engineering Faculty of UNIST. Professor Hoon Eui Jeong completed is post-doc in UC Berkeley after his doctorate from SNU Mechanical and Aerospace engineering. His main areas of research are Bio-Inspired Technologies, Multiscale Fabrication and Manufacturing Methods and others. One who would further progress Professor Kahp Yang Suh’s research sectors.
