Professor Jung Hoon Lee of our faculty was awarded the 15^th Do Yeon Creation Award at the 26^th Anniversary of the Semiconductor Research Institute on the 24^th of October. The Doyeon Creation Award was set up with funds from Professor Jong Deok Lee and is given to those who managed to contribute to the industrialization of the semiconductor sector through their creative research results.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Professor Jung Hoon Lee was awarded due to this exclusive research results on the MEMS/Nano Technology sector and his contributions industrializing the results. In detail, he was the first to suggest the EWOD (electrowetting on dielectric) Technology and contributed a great deal to opening a new industrialization path for Bio and Display sectors. Recently he also developed Nano Membrane Chemomechanical Transducers which combines Silicone manufacturing, IT, Bio-medical and Mechanical Engineering technologies along with contributions to industrialization of the sector through starting up a Bio-medical Diagnostics Firm through mass production and technology transfers.
