SNU revealed on the 16^th that Professor SNU ME Professor Man Soo Choi, who recently won the Kyung Ahm Academy Award, donated 100million won as “Research Settlement Funds for New Professors”.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Professor Man Soo Choi after revealing, “I’m thankful and happy to have won the Kyung Ahm Academy Award, an honorable award as a scholar”, said “This progress was only achieved due to the funds form the nation so it’s only right that I donate it back. Through this donation I hope that it would be an opportunity for the “Research Settlement Funds for New Professors” to be set up.”

Professor Man Soo Choi, as a member of KAST and NAEK, was the first Korean to be elected the president of IARA, and was the editor of the most prestigious journal in the aerosol sector “Journal of Aerosol Science” since 2004. Professor Choi also developed a device using a 3D nanoparticle assembly technology utilizing aerosol technology and also presented a ultra-sensitive sensor using nanocracks.

President Nak-in Sung who attended the signing ceremony in the president’s office said “The spirit of sharing on top of an exploring mentality is an inspiration to the school and society”
