The research conducted by the research team (Ph.D. student Soo-Ho Jo and Young Chang Shin, Dr. Heonjun Yoon) of SNU Laboratory for System Health and Risk Management, led by Professor Byeng Dong Youn, was published the front cover as a featured article Journal of Applied Physics (SCIE, Impact Factor: 2.328) vol. 127 no. 16 (publication date: April 30, 2020). The article is titled “Elastic Wave Localization and Harvesting Using Double Defect Modes of a Phononic Crystal.”

The American Institute of Physics, publisher of the journal, selects its featured article for the excellence, originality, and relevancy of research. A total of 44 journal articles were published the issue, 5 of which were selected as featured articles. Onlye featured article was published the front cover.
