[The Korea Economic Daily] “We Must Work As a Bridge Between the Public and the Scientific Community,” Announces Woo Il Lee, New President of KOFST

Speech Made During Inaugural Ceremony on 28^th
Hyun-shil Ahn of the Korea Economic Daily Appointed as Vice President

“The success of the 4^th Industrial Revolution rests on science and technology. We must work as a bridge between the public and the scientific community.”

The above statement was made on 27^th by the new president of the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies, Dr. Woo Il Lee. “KOFST should be a platform of individuals in the scientific community to communicate across various fields and generations, working towards innovation and convergence. We aim to encourage young scientists to challenge themselves and push forward, becoming a ‘younger KOFTST.’”

He promised to establish a future generation council consisting of researchers in their 40s and support their business planning and operation.
