5. 내 용 :
As limits in performance, size, and cost are pushed for solid-state electronic circuits and systems, MEMS components offer an attractive option. Through miniaturization, integration, and batch processing, micromachining makes possible the use of sliding, shaped, hinged, and sprung elements for variety of critical functions in microwave, terahertz, and optical circuits and instruments. Examples will be presented of such components, used to extend performance and enable new techniques in high-speed and wireless communications
networks, and scientific, industrial, and medical remote sensing.
