1. 제 목 : Global Methods for Fluid Dynamics Device Optimization
2. 연 사 : Prof. Wei Shyy
Department of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanics & Engineering Science
University of Florida
3. 일 시 : 2002년 5월 17일 (금) 14:00 - 16:00
4. 장 소 : 서울대 신공학관(301동) 117호
5. 내 용 :
Advanced fluid flow systems are being proposed to meet goals for increased performance, robustness and safety while concurrently decreasing development and manufacturing cost. These new goals are forcing consideration of design variables over ranges and in combinations not typically employed, thereby increasing the design space complexity. Objective and efficient evaluation of these new and complex designs can be facilitated by development and implementation of systematic optimization methods. In this talk, we present recent our efforts in adopting Response Surface Methods (RSM) and Neural Networks (NN) techniques for both preliminary and detailed design of fluid flow devices. Results and experiences with the use of response surface approximations and neural networks for design optimization of fluid flow devices will be discussed.
