5. 내용 : Several heat transfer enhancement technologies have been developed for the performance improvement of air conditioning systems, such as a screw compressor type refrigerator, an absorption chiller, and in an air conditioner. Plate heat exchangers are employed for an evaporator as well as a condenser in a screw compressor type refrigerator in stead of conventional shell and tube heat exchangers to improve the system performance and to reduce the system size. Convection heat transfer is substantially increased using aluminum foam materials for the air side of plate-fin heat exchangers. Porous fin correlations for the plate-fin heat exchangers are obtained and compared with the conventional louvered fins. Hydrophilic surface modification technology is applied to enhance condensation and evaporation for the absorption chillers and air conditioners.
