2022학년도 1학기 석사, 박사 외국인 학생의 한국어시험 실시를 안내하오니, 외국인 학생 중 응시하고자 하는 학생은 첨부된 응시원서를 작성하여 학부 행정실로 2/28(월) ~ 3/8(화)까지 제출해주시기 바랍니다.


Please refer to the information related to the Korean Language Exam for Foreign Students, Spring Semester 2022.



Students who are either native English speakers or from countries where English is the official language should take this Korean Language exam as foreign language examination as part of the Qualification Examination for Thesis Submission. 



A written Korean exam will be held separately according to your course (Master’s/Doctoral) and field of study (humanities/social sciences/natural sciences/art).



If a foreign student takes a substitute course for Korean Language exam (Korean Language and Korean Culture 1 or 2) during the regular semester or summer or winter session and receives a grade of "C-" or above or "S", he/she may be exempted from Korean Language exam. But the grade does not count as part of the completion credit.



Students who have failed the written Korean exam more thance may apply this time for the Korean 'oral' examination. 



Other foreign students of non-english speaking countries may choose to take either the Korean Language exam or submit an English examination certification.

TEPS score (minimum of 601 TEPS  or minimum of 327 New TEPS) or TOEFL score (minimum of 86 IBT) is needed.

The English scorely within 2 years (expiry date) of record is accepted. If you have the TEPS or TOEFL score, you should submit the English Certification to our office.

Please hand in the form (including application for Korean Language Exam - attachment 2) to the Office of Mechanical Engineering.

▣ Application place : Bldg. 301 Rm. 116 to Seong Ryeong CHOO



▣ Application document : You should submit the attached form 2.



▣ Date of Korean Language Examination : March 18th (Fri.) 9:30 a.m. ~10:30 a.m.



▣ Korean Language Examination Location : Building 39, Room B103



▣ Pass Score : Students in Master’s course must receive a score of 60 or higher, those in Ph.D., a score of 70 or higher.
